Approved food premises
Approved food premises are also called ‘establishments.’
If you are a food sector operator who processes animal-source food before wholesales, you must apply for the approval of food premises.
Approved food premises are divided into meat sector, fish sector, dairy sector and egg sector premises and storage premises based on the operations carried out there. A storage facility must be approved if it delivers animal-source food to approved food premises.
Submit an application when you are about to start new operations or change your existing operations substantially. New premises can start operating once the authorities have approved them. Operations that have changed may only start once the changes have been approved.
If you plan to start operations or change the operations substantially, please contact Food Control well in advance.
Environmental Health Services will charge a fee for processing the applications according to its price list.
